something different from my latest posts. self timer. minor edit in post processing : color balance and added blood brushes by and spider brushes by got arachnophobia? comments are appreciated
That's a rather creepy one! But very well and convincingly done. The frosty-glassed windowpane underlines the shock and horror beautifully. And I wouldn't want to meet the spiders that made you leave these bloody marks.
Do you have arachnophobia? I do, kind of. Spiders are the type of insect/animal I never really got used to. While I caught big Bird Spiders in South America for some scientists here in Switzerland, they are still kind of nightmarish to me. And while living in Australia, we sometimes had Huntsmen Spiders as big as the hand of an adult person on the flyscreens at night. You would sit there, glancing out of the window and you would see these huge spiders. Shiver. And poisonous they are too. And then the mailbox. That was a housing for Redback-Spiders. They in turn are closely related to the Black Widow Spider. At times it was so bad that I had to use spaghetti-tongs to get the mail safely out of the box.
I used to fear snakes, but ended up keeping them and even breeding them. Some of my friends did the same with spiders, something I could never do. Anyway, spiders can be pretty useful in controlling other insects, so I leave them alone. I even accept them if they are inside the house - if there are not too many. And around here, there are no poisonous spiders, so nothing bad can come of it.
haha i got the spider idea after taking and editing the pic actually. i guess i had just killed a few of them with my own hands (just the thought of that is making all the hairs on my back go weird) , thats the reason for the bloody marks
i have arachnophobia , i always back off really quickly if i see a spider, and if its bigger than normal, i scream too. i never encountered spiders the size you mentioned, id probably faint if i did, jesus. Im afraid of snakes too, and they look disgusting to me, probably because of the way that skin shines, it looks all greasy
I hope you're getting over your arachnophobia. If you do, you're way ahead of me. Co-existence is the keyword here; if they leave you alone, then there's no reason to squash them. But if they get to close, then it's within your rights to show them the way out.
When they just shed their skin, snakes really look rather greasy. But as a fact, they are dry and cool to the touch. And some really do have breathtaking colors and patterns, they look quite handsome. I don't think this "information" helps, though, if snakes make you feel uncomfortable, then no amount of soothing words will help.
